Header: 1500×500, expect heavy cropping
Upload the header at 1500×500 pixels (3:1). X crops it differently by screen size, and your round profile photo sits over the lower-left corner. Keep anything important — text, logo, a face — in the upper-right and away from all four edges, because the visible strip shrinks on mobile.
Post and link images
A single image in a post previews best at 1600×900 (16:9); X may crop other ratios in the timeline and only show the full image when tapped. Link previews using the 'summary large image' card render at 1200×628. For multi-image posts, X tiles and crops them, so faces near the centre survive best.
